Your HealthCare and Hounslow & Richmond Community Healthcare Trust are looking for several empathic individuals to become Patient Safety Partners covering 3 organisations Hounslow and Richmond Community Trust, Kingston Hospital NHS Trust and Your Healthcare. Sitting on various committees, the right candidates for these roles will be working alongside NHS professionals – both medical and non-medical - to ensure that decisions are considered from a patient perspective.

Candidates will have a natural curiosity and be comfortable asking questions on topics of patient safety that may be highly sensitive in their nature to ensure that patient safety is the best that it can be. They will have the insight and empathy to consider issues from a wide variety of perspectives, including those that may be very different to their own.

Candidates will have a high degree of personal integrity, ensuring that the confidentiality of the Trust, staff and patients involved in patient safety issues is firmly maintained. This is a lay role working within a multi-disciplinary team of professionals with equity and transparency.

At this level of engagement and in line with national guidance from NHS England, we will pay a fixed fee of £140 per committee meeting that the successful candidate is able to participate in, paid via invoice. Basic expenses, such as off-peak travel will also be paid.

You will need to undergo training, be supervised by the Patient Safety Specialist/s, and be able to commit to a minimum of 2 years in post.
