New Community Projects Officer, Samreen joins Healthwatch Hounslow
Samreen has a health and life sciences background which equips her with a wealth of knowledge and experience for our engagement projects.
Her interest in health and social care first stemmed from the Rohingya refugee crisis in Bangladesh. During her academic years, she has utilized the resources of her university’s academic clubs to carry out projects and seminars to disseminate important public health messages regarding healthcare. Whilst she worked as a teacher in a school, she has massively engaged with young people and supported them with their mental health challenges. Therefore, she considers her choice of embarking on public health was facilitated by such experiences.
She says, “I’m delighted to be a part of Healthwatch as it gives me a platform to help the vulnerable people and those in need. It’s exciting to join a team that advocates for local communities and works to resolve their health concerns.”
