Come inside, you’re welcome

Hounslow Council has announced a network of over 30 Warm Spaces across the borough.

Everyone is welcome, and can stay as long as they like, space permitting and dependent on individual opening times.

The vast majority will offer a hot drink and access to wi-fi, while some will be offering hot food.  Others include specific activities, spaces for work/recreation and access to books and games, including many child-friendly spaces.

Leader of Hounslow Council, Councillor Shantanu Rajawat, said: “It’s regrettable that in 2022, we find ourselves identifying warm spaces for residents unable to heat their homes affordably.  Nevertheless, Hounslow has displayed a true sense of community, pulling together during a difficult time for many who deserve greater central support.

"This network is developing by the day, and we thank our vibrant voluntary sector, multi-faith community and Council partners for mobilising so swiftly.  Watch this space for more participating organisations over the coming weeks.”
