Keep warm, keep well this winter
Keeping warm during the cold weather is really important for maintaining your health, particularly if you have an ongoing medical condition or are over 65.
Cold weather can also have an impact on babies and children under the age of five, people with a disability, pregnant women and people on low incomes.
Government guidance says simple steps like heating your home to at least 18°C, wrapping up well and closing your windows to keep the heat in, can help.
Residents should also boost their health and immunity by getting their COVID-19 booster and flu vaccination.
Help is available for people who are struggling with their heating bills due to the cost of living crisis.
Hounslow also has a network of 42 warm spaces for residents and families to go to if they are struggling to heat their homes.
