Celebrating the borough’s LGBTQ+’s history in February
February is LGBTQ+ History Month, which this year is themed Behind the Lens, celebrating the community's contribution to cinema and film.
The Council is proud to support a month of activity with our friends from West London Queer Project who will be staging a host of fabulous events, so stay across its website www.wlqp.org
Hounslow Council will also be hosting a special event on the afternoon of Friday, 10 February, from 1.30pm-4pm at Hounslow House.
Art - Behind the Lens will feature a fascinating mix of artists, media editors, writers and Council staff discussing issues associated with real-life experiences of LGBTQ+ people past and present.
There will also be exploration into other topics, including the history of the LGBTQ+ community in the borough and work being done by local LGBTQ+ community groups.
