Still time to get your COVID-19 booster

Hounslow residents are being urged not to miss out on their COVID-19 booster.

The opportunity to get a winter booster vaccination will come to a close on Sunday, 12 February.

This means that it will be the last chance for anyone who has been invited to get their booster to take up the offer.

Residents can still get first or second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine after 12th February.

Hounslow’s winter vaccination programme has seen tens of thousands of residents come forward to get the booster.

Getting the COVID-19 booster is the best protection against becoming seriously ill if you contract the virus.

This means that you will be protecting yourself, your family and your community and helping to relieve pressure from vital local health services.

The COVID-19 booster is readily available in Hounslow and is free to many groups of people.

These include anyone aged 50 and over, mums-to-be, people with underlying health conditions and health and care workers.

With the number of COVID cases expected to increase over the coming weeks, health officials in the borough say it is important that everyone acts now to take-up their COVID booster.

The NHS will continue to operate a smaller-scale vaccine offer first and second doses to anyone who has not yet had these jabs.
