Embrace Equity
There will be a diverse range of speakers from Shewise, Action Breaks Silence and Council representatives followed by a panel discussion that also involves Surviving Economic Abuse and the Afghan and Central Asian Association, based in Feltham.
International Women’s Day is a global event celebrating the social, economic, cultural and political achievements of women. The day also marks a call to action for accelerating women’s equality. The theme for this year is #EmbraceEquity, and has been selected to highlight the importance of collective activism, through challenging gender stereotypes, calling out discrimination, drawing attention to bias and seeking out inclusion. Forging gender equity is not limited to solely women; allies are incredibly important for the social, economic, cultural and political advancement of women too.
