Back to college for Mental Health Week
This week is Mental Health Awareness Week and to coincide with this national event, Hounslow has launched its own Wellbeing and Recovery College.
A partnership between West London NHS Trust and Brentford FC's Community Sports Trust, the new facility is a training and resource centre which supports people with managing their own mental health issues. It will provide support to service-users, their families and carers, staff members and other professionals.
Courses on offer at the recovery college include topics such as: learning about anxiety, developing coping skills, assertiveness training and understanding complex emotional needs.
The new Regional Director for London NHS, Caroline Clarke (pictured third left) was on hand to officially open the college today (Tuesday, 16 May).
