Former midwife relishes fostering role
It's Fostering Fortnight and Hounslow Council are celebrating Hounslow’s foster carers, who make such a difference to so many children’s lives.
Helen, from Chiswick, is a retired midwife that has made a huge contribution to hundreds of people’s lives in her career, but fostering is a different, but equally rewarding challenge:
“Fostering is high on the list of the best things I have ever done. It was such a big decision. As a midwife, you make a bit of a difference but to lots of people's lives. Making a difference to children's lives, that is what really interests me, that’s what matters most.”
