Carers Week is coming
Carers Week is an annual national event that shines a spotlight on the vital contribution that unpaid carers make to their families and the wider community.
The week aims to raise awareness of the challenges these carers face and to provide them with information on how they can get support and guidance to allow them to fulfil their roles.
A carer is someone who provides unpaid care and support to a family member or friend who has a disability, illness, mental health condition, addiction, or who needs extra help as they grow older.
In Hounslow, the Council and its partners have a range of events and activities for Carers Week, which are open for all carers in the borough to attend.
There are question-and-answer events, drop-in sessions, and outdoor health and well-being activities aimed at Hounslow’s unpaid carers.
