Carers Week comes to Hounslow
Hounslow Council's Cabinet Member for Adult Social Care, Public Health and Transformation, Councillor Samia Chaudhary was on hand to officially launch Carers Week.
The annual event, which will run until June 11, has been organised to raise the profile of people who look after someone on an unpaid basis.
The theme for this year’s Hounslow Carers Week is - Supporting carers in our community.
Highlights of the week include activities aimed at Hounslow’s young carers and those looking to enter the world of work.
There will be Fresh Air and Friendship Walks and the chance to find out what help is available for those who care for someone living with dementia.
All the events in Carers Week are free to the borough’s unpaid carers.
