About this event
Hounslow House will play host to the Pearle Queen of Fulham on Friday, 3 November for a right royal awareness-raising event.
Boobs and Bingo is aimed specifically at women in Hounslow with learning disabilities and their carers.
It will cover all aspects of breast care, the signs to look out for, information about breast screening programmes and who you can speak to if you have concerns.
Nationally, there is evidence that women with learning difficulties are not well-informed about breast cancers and the uptake of breast screening is low.
Boobs and Bingo has been designed exclusively with women in mind to ensure they have a safe space to talk freely with health professionals and breast care staff who will be on hand.
Special guest for the event will be Pearlie Queen of Fulham Gemma Blackie-Kelly pictured above with her Pearlie Princess Maudie Blackie-Kelly.
By mixing the health messages with some good old-fashioned fun, it is hoped that visitors will be able to take advantage of all the preventative measures, such as accessible breast screening, that are on offer.
